TikTok has released its latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the fourth quarter of 2023.

This report underscores TikTok’s unwavering dedication to fostering a secure and inclusive platform for its global community.

Throughout the October-December period of 2023, TikTok’s proactive measures resulted in the removal of a staggering 176 million videos worldwide, accounting for approximately 1.0% of all videos uploaded on the platform.

Notably, 128 million of these videos were identified and eliminated through automated detection technologies, with an additional 8 million videos reinstated following further review.

In Pakistan alone, TikTok took decisive action against 18 million videos found to be in violation of its Community Guidelines, demonstrating its steadfast approach to combating infractions effectively.

The platform also intensified efforts to curb spam accounts and related content, implementing robust measures to thwart the proliferation of automated spam accounts.

Crucially, TikTok ensured swift action against guideline violations, with approximately 95.3% of offending videos removed within 24 hours of posting.

Globally, the proactive removal rate for the quarter soared impressively to 99.5%.

In a concerted effort to protect younger users, TikTok purged 19.84 million accounts suspected of belonging to individuals under the age of 13.

TikTok’s Community Guidelines are meticulously designed to cultivate a safe, inclusive, and authentic environment for all users, without exceptions.

These guidelines are applied uniformly across all content and users, with TikTok emphasizing consistency and fairness in its enforcement measures.

Leveraging advanced technology and human oversight, TikTok swiftly identifies, reviews, and addresses content that contravenes its guidelines.
