Toxic Water Kills Five Children in Sindh

At least five children were killed due to consumption of toxic water in a small village situated in the Sanghar district of Sindh province in Pakistan.

According to reports from rescue officials, the children fell victim to poisoning after consuming water from a local hand pump, while two other children remain in critical condition.

The young victims have been identified as eight-year-old Mureed Bhatti, three-year-old Mumtaz, five-year-old Rashid Ali, four-year-old Sania, and four-year-old Zamira.

Following the widespread attention garnered by the incident, health authorities took action by dispatching a team to the village to conduct tests to evaluate toxic in the water.

Upon confirming the presence of toxic substances, the district health officer sealed the hand pump installed on agricultural land as a precautionary measure.
