Pakistan Government has officially announced the holiday schedule for Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the most significant religious festivals celebrated by Muslims worldwide.

In a notification of the Cabinet Division, it was declared that offices would observe a three-day or four-day holiday, accommodating various working schedules.

For offices adhering to a five-day work week, the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays will be observed from Wednesday, April 10, to Friday, April 12.

Meanwhile, offices of Pakistan Government operating on a six-day work week will enjoy an extended holiday from Wednesday, April 10, to Saturday, April 13.

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting, and is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic lunar calendar.

The festival signifies the end of a period of spiritual devotion and self-discipline, as Muslims engage in festivities and communal prayers to mark the joyous occasion.

This year, the exact date of Eid ul Fitr is anticipated to be either April 10 or April 11, depending on the sighting of the new moon, which traditionally determines the beginning and end of Islamic months.

As Muslims eagerly await the confirmation of the moon sighting, preparations for Eid celebrations are underway across the nation.
