Pakistan By-Elections; Polling Underway Amid Tight Security
Polling is currently underway in 21 constituencies across Pakistan for by elections, including 5 National Assembly and 16 provincial assembly seats, amid strict security arrangements and suspension of internet services.
The by-elections are being held to fill seats vacated by candidates who won multiple seats or where polling was delayed due to the death of a candidate.

- 174 candidates contesting in 12 provincial constituencies in Punjab
- 49 candidates contesting in 2 provincial constituencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

- 9 candidates contesting in NA-119, including Ali Pervaiz and Shehzad Farooq
- 11 candidates contesting in PP-147, including PML-N nominee Malik Riaz and independent Muhammad Khan Madani
Security Arrangements
- Heightened security measures in place to address any potential incidents
- 892 polling stations set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 139 identified as sensitive
- 303 polling stations set up in NA-196 in Sindh, with 158 identified as sensitive
- 354 polling stations designated in Balochistan
Voter Turnout
- Approximately 2.55 million Pakistanis expected to participate in voting for 5 National Assembly constituencies
- Around 3.61 million individuals expected to cast their votes for 16 provincial assembly seats nationwide
