Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Monday visited state-of-the-art smartphone manufacturing facility of Airlink Communication Ltd, a leading manufacturer, distributor, and retailer in Pakistan.

The Minister commended Airlink’s commitment to innovation and its impressive inclusion of women in the labor force, which stands at 25-30%.
She praised the company’s technological advancements and emphasized the government’s support for the smartphone manufacturing industry in driving economic growth and job creation.
Vision for Technology Transfer and Export Growth
Airlink’s Group CEO, Muzzaffar H Piracha, highlighted the company’s vision for technology transfer and its role in positioning Pakistan as a global technological hub.
He estimated that the export of smartphones alone could bring in up to 10 billion USD in foreign exchange, strengthening Pakistan’s position in the global market.
Expansion into Electric Vehicles and IoT Products
Airlink is set to expand into Electric Vehicles (EV) and advance the landscape of Internet of Things (IoT) products in Pakistan.
