Islamabad to Get First Seven-Star Hotel, International Hospital
Islamabad is set to receive its first seven-star hotel as part of a major infrastructure development plan, the Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada announced.
The luxury hotel and an accompanying international hospital will be built in Sector G-13 near the Srinagar Highway under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.

The seven-star hotel project, approved by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), marks a significant upgrade to Islamabad’s hospitality and healthcare infrastructure.
“These developments reflect our commitment to transforming the federal capital into a world-class destination for business and tourism,” said Minister Pirzada.
The seven-star hotel will be located close to the new Islamabad International Airport, with construction expected to begin by year-end.
The FGEHA has also identified 11 additional sites for development, including an IT tower, shopping mall, international school, and residential-commercial projects in Rawalpindi and Murree.
“The PPP model ensures optimal utilization of government land while attracting private investment,” the minister added.
The projects are expected to boost employment and economic activity while addressing gaps in high-end tourism and healthcare services.
Analysts say the seven-star hotel could position Islamabad as a luxury destination, competing with regional hubs like Dubai and Doha.
The international hospital component aims to reduce medical tourism outflow by providing advanced care locally.
The FGEHA reversed its earlier stance against the hotel project after reviewing its economic potential.
Open auctions for both developments will be conducted in coming months, with completion expected within 3-4 years.
