Black Bear Tortured in Tangir: FIR Filed, Minister Responds
A disturbing video has emerged from Tangir, a remote region of Gilgit-Baltistan, showing a black bear being brutally tortured.

Federal Minister for Climate Change, Dr. Musadik Malik, has taken serious notice of the illegal act of wildlife cruelty.

In a statement, he condemned the violence, declaring that “such brutal treatment of wildlife is unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.”
Dr. Malik also contacted the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, urging timely and effective action.
He emphasized the importance of strict enforcement of wildlife protection laws across the country.
According to an official press release, a First Information Report (FIR) has already been registered against the individuals involved in the incident.
The Minister for Climate Change has also directed the Wildlife Management Boards to take immediate and impactful measures to prevent such incidents like black bear in the future.
The government reiterated its commitment to the protection of wildlife and environmental conservation, promising zero tolerance for violations of animal protection laws.
