Father of Atif Aslam passes away in Lahore

Muhammad Aslam, father of internationally acclaimed Pakistani singer Atif Aslam, passed away on Tuesday, family sources confirmed.

Atif, celebrated for his work in Pakistan’s music industry as well as Bollywood soundtracks, shared the news in a heartfelt Instagram post, writing: “A final good bye to my Iron Man. Rest in love Abu g. Keep us in your prayers,” alongside a photo with his father.

The family said Muhammad Aslam, 77, had been ailing for some time and suffered a heart attack a few months ago. His funeral prayer will be offered after Asr in Valencia Town, Lahore.
