Mushtaq Ahmad Khan Returns Home After Release From Israeli Custody
ISLAMABAD: Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, who was released from Israeli custody, arrived safely in Pakistan on Thursday. He was flown from Bahrain to Islamabad via Gulf Air flight GF-770.
A large crowd gathered at Islamabad International Airport to receive him, with thousands of supporters waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans in solidarity. Many lifted Mushtaq Ahmad Khan on their shoulders, hailing his courage and steadfastness in standing up to Israeli forces.
Earlier, the Pakistani Embassy in Jordan announced on social media platform X that the former senator — detained by Israel last week for attempting to deliver aid to Palestinians through a flotilla — had been released and was en route to Pakistan.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar contacted his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi to express Pakistan’s gratitude for Jordan’s assistance in facilitating Mushtaq Ahmad Khan’s safe return.
In a video message following his release, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan revealed that while in Israeli custody, guns were pointed at him and he was subjected to severe physical assault.
