Security Forces Kill 22 Militants in Bannu IBO

BANNU: Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Bannu District on November 24, 2025, following reports of the presence of militants affiliated with Fitna al Khwarij, an Indian-backed terrorist group.

According to official sources, during the operation, troops effectively engaged the militants at their hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, 22 militants were killed.

A sanitisation operation is currently underway in the area to eliminate any remaining militants and ensure complete clearance of the region.

The security forces reaffirmed that the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full force to eradicate the threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
