Aga Khan University to Set Up Teaching Hospital in Islamabad
Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa met with Aziz Jan, Chief of Facilities and Administrative Services at Aga Khan University, to discuss the establishment of a state-of-the-art teaching and tertiary care hospital in the Federal Capital.
During the meeting at CDA Headquarters, Muhammad Ali Randhawa assured full cooperation for the project, saying the Aga Khan University Teaching Hospital would significantly strengthen healthcare delivery, research, and medical education in Islamabad. He described the initiative as an important milestone that would elevate the health sector and improve access to advanced medical services.
Aziz Jan said the proposed facility would offer high-quality medical care and modern health services to patients. The university aims to bring internationally recognized standards of treatment and hospital management to Islamabad, benefiting both residents and the broader region.

The CDA chairman also said the expertise of Aga Khan University would be used to upgrade medical facilities for CDA employees at CDA Hospital. He expressed interest in partnering with the university to enhance educational facilities under CDA’s administration, adding that providing top-tier services to Islamabad’s citizens remains a key priority.
Both sides expressed commitment to moving the project forward, emphasizing its long-term potential for healthcare and academic excellence.
