DUBAI: Dubai Police have launched a new digital service that allows residents to check their legal status online, providing quick access to information on any police reports, legal cases, or travel restrictions.

The “Circulars and Travel Ban” feature — available on the Dubai Police smartphone app and official website — enables users to find out whether they are involved in any financial or criminal matters, or if a travel ban has been issued against them. The service is free and requires only the user’s Emirates ID number.

Officials said the platform has been designed for ease of use, reducing the need for residents to visit police stations, courts, or government offices. The initiative is part of broader efforts by Police to modernise public services and streamline procedures.

By offering instant access to legal information, authorities hope the service will help residents resolve issues early and avoid avoidable complications. The upgraded version replaces the traditional multi-department process with a single digital interface focused on convenience and efficiency.
