Dubai welcomes travellers with special stamp to mark Bahrain National Day

GDRFA initiative highlights deep fraternal ties between UAE and Bahrain

DUBAI: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai welcomed arriving passengers with a special passport stamp carrying the message “Bahrain, Heart and Eyes” to celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The initiative reflects the strong historical and fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, highlighting the bonds of mutual respect, affection and cooperation shared by the two countries and their peoples.

To mark the occasion, Bahraini flags were displayed at passport control counters, a dedicated lane was arranged for arriving passengers, and frontline officers wore national scarves. GDRFA mascots Salem and Salama also greeted travellers, while smart gates were illuminated in the colours of the Bahraini flag. Commemorative gifts were distributed, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere.

GDRFA Dubai Director General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri said the UAE takes pride in sharing the celebrations of Bahrain’s National Day, describing the relationship between the two countries as a model of brotherhood, understanding and joint cooperation. He said every traveller arriving in Dubai should feel welcomed and valued from the very first moment.

Assistant Director General for Airports Affairs Talal Ahmed Al Shanqiti said the initiative reflects GDRFA Dubai’s commitment to incorporating human and cultural values into the arrival experience, especially during national occasions. He noted that airports serve as the first point of contact for visitors, making it essential that they reflect respect, celebration and the spirit of brotherhood.

The special passport stamp underscores GDRFA Dubai’s focus on creating a seamless and welcoming arrival experience, in line with Gulf cooperation and the UAE’s commitment to strengthening unity, collaboration and shared values across GCC countries.
