CDA Raises Rs13.52 Billion on First Day of Islamabad Plots Auction
ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) generated Rs13.52 billion on the first day of a three-day auction of residential and commercial plots in the federal capital, according to an official press release issued on December 22, 2025.
The auction, being held at the Jinnah Convention Centre, is being conducted under the supervision of Member Finance Tahir Naeem and an auction committee formed under his chairmanship, in line with the directives of CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said the strong participation of investors in the public auction reflects their complete confidence and trust in CDA policies. He added that winning and maintaining the trust of Islamabad’s investors remains one of the authority’s top priorities.
According to auction details, Blue Area Plot No. 15 located in the F-8/G-8 sector was sold for Rs3.52 billion, while Blue Area Plot No. 17 in the same sector fetched Rs9.15 billion. Additionally, Plot No. 37-C of the Orchards Scheme on Murree Road was auctioned for Rs422 million, and Plot No. 37-D of the same scheme was sold for Rs420 million. In total, four plots were auctioned on the first day, generating Rs13.52 billion.

The three-day auction will continue until December 24, offering various categories of residential and commercial plots for investment. These include plots in different centres, the E-11 Northern Strip, Agro Farms, petrol pumps, constructed shops in Blue Area, and residential plots in multiple sectors.
Under CDA’s investor-friendly initiatives, several incentives have been introduced to encourage participation. These include an additional 5% discount for payments made in US dollars for commercial plots, as well as a 5% discount for lump-sum payments made within 30 days of bid approval. Investors will also be allowed to obtain building plan approval after making an initial 25% payment, while possession of plots will be granted upon payment of 75% of the total amount.
All received bids will be thoroughly scrutinized and presented before the CDA Board, the competent authority for approval or rejection.
Chairman CDA said that the revenue generated from the auction will be utilized for the construction, development, and beautification of the federal capital.
