Court Extends Pre-Arrest Bail for PTI Founder in Six Cases
A district and sessions court has extended the pre-arrest bail of the PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi and restrained authorities from arresting them in the May 9 case and five other related cases until January 27.
The court passed the orders during the hearing of multiple cases, including those related to the May 9 incidents, attempted murder and alleged fake receipts. The court also directed that the PTI founder must appear before the court at the next hearing either in person or through a video link.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka presided over the hearing. Due to the non-availability of Imran Khan, arguments on the bail petitions could not be presented, prompting the court to adjourn the hearing until January 27.
