Special task force reviews action against illegally residing foreign nationals in Islamabad
Islamabad: A meeting of the Special Task Force formed to take action against illegally residing foreign nationals was held on Monday at the Capital Development Authority headquarters, chaired by Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
The meeting was attended by Islamabad police chief Syed Nasir Ali Rizvi, district administration and police officials from Rawalpindi, Attock, Haripur and Murree, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Interior, NADRA, PTA and other relevant departments.
Officials reviewed the progress made so far against illegally residing foreign nationals and discussed the future course of action. The Special task force was informed that the process of repatriation from various districts was progressing rapidly, with the majority of foreign nationals opting for voluntary return.
The meeting was also briefed that legal action was underway against property owners who had rented out premises to illegally residing foreign nationals.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that strict measures be taken to completely curb the movement of illegally residing foreign nationals into adjoining areas. He ordered that the provision of utilities, including electricity, to such individuals be banned and stressed that no accommodation or employment should be provided to them.

Syed Nasir Ali Rizvi said strict action should be taken to dismantle settlements of illegally residing foreign nationals. He added that strong legal action would also be initiated against those involved in business activities, residing on medical grounds, or using fake identity cards and forged documents.
The CDA chairman directed all guest house operators and property owners to ensure that no illegally residing foreign nationals were staying on their premises. He said the core objective of these measures was to enhance national security and provide citizens with a peaceful and secure environment.
