Pakistan Navy flotilla visits Oman, holds joint exercises with Royal Oman Navy
RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Navy flotilla comprising PNS Rah Naward (sail ship), PNS Madadgar and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency vessel PMSS Kashmir visited Port Sultan Qaboos in Muscat, Oman, where the ships were accorded a warm welcome by Omani authorities, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
According to the ISPR, during Pakistan Navy flotilla visit, the mission commander and commanding officers held meetings with senior leadership of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO). The mission commander called on the acting commander of the RNO, director general operations and plans, commander of the Maritime Security Centre, commander of Said Bin Sultan Naval Base and the commandant of Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy.

Following the port visit, Pakistan Navy and PMSA ships conducted a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with Royal Oman Navy ship Khasab. The exercise was aimed at enhancing interoperability between the two navies and promoting shared learning through bilateral maritime drills.
The ISPR said Pakistan and Oman, as maritime neighbours, maintain close naval ties, with frequent visits of dignitaries, port calls and joint exercises being a regular feature of the bilateral relationship.
