Dhurandhar gets a sequel, titled ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’

WEB DESK: Bollywood’s action thriller Dhurandhar has been renewed for a sequel, with the new film titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the original film starred Ranveer Singh alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna. Singh will reprise his role as Hamza Ali in the upcoming installment.

Jio Studios released a teaser announcing the title of the second film. However, the teaser has faced criticism on social media, with many viewers pointing out that it appears to reuse footage from the end of the first movie rather than offering new content.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026.

The first Dhurandhar gained significant attention in 2025, sparking debates on social media in Pakistan, with many users describing it as containing a “propaganda-driven narrative.” The movie revolves around Karachi’s Lyari gang war and features an Indian spy, played by Ranveer Singh, at the center of the story.

Prominent characters from Lyari, including Rehman Dakait, Major Iqbal, and SP Chaudhary Aslam, were portrayed by Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt, respectively.
