Aseefa Bhutto seeks support for PPP in Gilgit-Baltistan ahead of polls
GILGIT: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Aseefa Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday said she was delighted to visit Gilgit-Baltistan and praised the people of the region for bringing pride to Pakistan through their contributions and dedication.
Addressing a public gathering, Aseefa said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave a voice to the people, while Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life for democracy.
She added that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was carrying forward Benazir Bhutto’s mission and continuing the party’s struggle for the rights and welfare of the people.
Aseefa said the PPP was committed to ensuring a brighter future for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and remained focused on public welfare, prosperity and inclusive development.
She said the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had dedicated his political career to securing the rights of ordinary citizens and empowering disadvantaged communities.

Criticising political opponents, Aseefa said some leaders appeared only during election campaigns and disappeared after making promises to voters, whereas Bilawal Bhutto remained connected with the public and continued to raise their issues.
She pledged that the PPP would create educational and employment opportunities for young people and continue its efforts to protect and advance the rights of citizens.
Urging voters to support the PPP in the upcoming elections, Aseefa asked people to vote for the party’s “arrow” election symbol, describing it as a symbol of hope for the underprivileged and an emblem of democratic values.
The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on June 7, with political parties intensifying their campaigns across the region in the final days before polling.
