TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has called for legal proceedings against the United States and Israel over alleged war crimes, urging that the matter be pursued in both national and international courts.

Speaking on the issue of judicial accountability, Khamenei said the actions of the United States and Israel should be taken before international legal forums and demanded that those responsible for what he described as “war crimes” be brought to justice.

He also called for accountability over the alleged “Mianab School war crimes,” saying those responsible must face trial.

Khamenei stressed that following the guidance of the “martyr leader” was essential for the success of the judiciary, adding that meaningful judicial reforms were necessary to strengthen public confidence in the justice system.
