Six Pakistanis killed in Riyadh gas cylinder blast

Victims belonged to Mansehra district; Pakistani embassy coordinating with Saudi authorities for repatriation of bodies.

WEB DESK: Six Pakistani nationals were killed in a gas cylinder explosion in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, after a blast ripped through a residential building in the Manfouha area, according to media reports.

The explosion occurred late Tuesday night, causing severe damage to part of the building. All six victims were reportedly residents of Mansehra district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Pakistani embassy in Riyadh said it was in contact with the Saudi authorities regarding the repatriation of the bodies and completion of the necessary legal formalities.

The embassy assured that all possible diplomatic assistance would be extended to the affected families.

According to initial reports, Saudi authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion.

The incident has sparked grief among the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia, with condolences continuing to pour in for the bereaved families.
