WEB DESK: Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the military’s media wing said on Monday.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on August 10 as part of an ongoing counter-terrorism campaign against what security forces described as foreign-sponsored terrorist elements.

The ISPR said security forces recovered a large cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the site following the operation.

The recovered weapons, ammunition and explosive material were subsequently destroyed, while sanitisation operations were conducted to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.

According to the military’s media wing, security forces and law enforcement agencies are continuing counter-terrorism operations under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee of the National Action Plan.

The ISPR said the campaign would continue with “full pace” to eliminate what security forces described as foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
