Bahrain Assures Support for Pakistan Flood Victims

Interior minister conveys condolences in call with Mohsin Naqvi

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister of Bahrain, Lieutenant General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, on Sunday expressed deep sympathy with Pakistan over the loss of lives and large-scale destruction caused by torrential rains and floods.

In a telephone call with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Bahraini minister extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and assured Pakistan of Bahrain’s unwavering support during what he described as “testing times.”

“We stand with our Pakistani brothers and sisters in this difficult hour and are ready to provide every possible assistance for the flood victims,” he said, stressing that the Kingdom would remain by Pakistan’s side.

Mr Naqvi thanked his counterpart for the solidarity and support, noting that Pakistan was among the countries most severely affected by climate change. “The devastation brought by floods, heavy rains and sudden cloudbursts cannot be adequately described,” he remarked.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation and pledged continued support for one another in times of need, with Bahrain offering assistance for relief operations in affected communities.
