DPM Dar visits Brussels, holds talks with EU migration commissioner
Brussels: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met European Union Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner in Brussels during his official visit.
During the meeting, both sides welcomed the recently held Pakistan–EU Migration and Mobility Dialogue and highlighted the usefulness of the Dialogue Framework in facilitating and organizing legal migration of skilled labour to the European Union.
They also appreciated the growing level of bilateral cooperation on migration and labour mobility related issues.

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring effective implementation of the EU-Pakistan readmission arrangements. In response, Brunner praised Pakistan’s efforts to curb irregular migration.
Both sides reiterated their support for preventing illegal migration and activating legal pathways through the Pakistan–EU Talent Partnership Roadmap.
Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg Rahim Hayat Qureshi were also present during the meeting.
