DPM Ishaq Dar Meets Slovenian Foreign Minister

Both sides agree to expand bilateral cooperation and sign MoU on political consultations

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon, on the sidelines of the 4th European Union Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Slovenia, as well as expanding cooperation within the broader framework of the European Union.

The two sides expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, with special emphasis on promoting trade and economic ties between the two countries.

They also exchanged views on regional and global security developments and reaffirmed their resolve to work together for the promotion of peace and stability.

On the occasion, Pakistan and Slovenia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Political Consultations, aimed at institutionalizing regular dialogue between the two foreign ministries.

Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, were also present during the meeting.
