German Consulate in Karachi Resumes Visa Services
The German Consulate in Karachi has announced the resumption of visa services, following a temporary suspension due to security concerns.
In 2023, Germany received a record number of visa applications from Pakistani citizens – 19,095! While 11,630 were approved, 7,370 were denied, making Pakistan one of the top ten nationalities with the most visa refusals from Germany.
Despite this, Pakistani nationals continue to show interest in traveling to Germany and other Schengen countries, with nearly 86,700 visa applications processed in 2023.

However, the rejection rate remains high, with 49.6% of applications denied.
Pakistanis spent a whopping €3.3 million on visa applications in 2023, the highest amount spent by any nationality.
