PAF chief holds talks with foreign counterparts at Dubai Airshow 2025
The Chief of Air Staff of Pakistan Air Force, Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, held a series of high-level meetings with air chiefs and defence officials from friendly countries on the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow 2025 in the United Arab Emirates.
During his visit, he met UAE Undersecretary of Defence Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi and Commander of the UAE Air Force and Air Defence Rashid Mohammed Al-Shamsi. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in advanced training, collaboration in emerging aerospace technologies and improving mechanisms for operational coordination.
The UAE military leadership appreciated Pakistan Air Force’s modernization efforts and its growing indigenous capabilities. Both sides expressed their resolve to enhance military cooperation through joint exercises, professional exchanges and future-oriented partnerships.

Meanwhile, a Pakistan Air Force contingent has arrived in the UAE to participate in the Dubai Airshow 2025. The contingent includes the JF-17 Thunder Block-III and the Super Mushshak trainer aircraft, highlighting Pakistan’s progress in indigenous aviation development.
The JF-17 Thunder Block-III remained a major attraction at the airshow, drawing interest from defence analysts, aviation experts and visitors. Its modern technology and operational capabilities contributed to its growing international profile.
According to the statement, several countries showed interest in acquiring the JF-17 Thunder. An MoU was also signed with a friendly country for the procurement of the fighter aircraft, marking a new development in Pakistan’s defence and industrial cooperation.
