Solar Eclipse 2024 Timing in Pakistan
Solar Eclipse 2024 is set to occur in Pakistan, on April 8, as confirmed by the met office.
The celestial event will commence with a partial eclipse starting at 20:48 PST on April 8, followed by a total eclipse beginning at 21:38 PST.
The maximum eclipse will take place at 23:17 PST on April 8.
The total eclipse is expected to conclude at 00:55 PST on April 9, with the partial eclipse ending at 01:52 PST.
However, it’s worth noting that while this celestial phenomenon unfolds, unfortunately, it won’t be visible in Pakistan.
The solar eclipse will primarily be visible from parts of Europe, North America, South America, the Pacific, Atlantic, and the Arctic.
For those residing in the United States, several states will witness the total eclipse, including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
Amidst the anticipation of this astronomical event, it’s essential to address myths surrounding eclipses, particularly in regions like Pakistan and India.
Traditionally, pregnant women are often advised to avoid activities such as sleeping, bathing, and cutting vegetables or fruits during an eclipse, amidst beliefs that such actions could lead to birthmarks on their babies.
However, it’s crucial to recognize that these beliefs lack scientific validity.
