US Warns Pakistan of Potential Sanctions Risk in Trade with Iran

The US Department of State has cautioned Pakistan against pursuing trade agreements with Iran, citing the risk of sanctions.

The spokesperson emphasized the importance of considering this potential threat, particularly given the significant trade and economic ties between the US and Pakistan.

A Warning to Pakistan

In response to inquiries about Pakistan-Iran trade agreements, the spokesperson advised caution, stating, “We advise anyone considering business deals with Iran to be aware of the potential risk of sanctions.”

While not specifically mentioning Pakistan, the warning was issued in the context of Pakistan’s recent agreements with Iran.
