ECNEC Approves Rs212 Billion Jinnah Medical Complex Project

State-of-the-art tertiary care and research hospital to be established; financing committee formed for execution

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, on Friday approved the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Project at an estimated cost of Rs212 billion.

The project aims to establish Jinnah Medical Complex, a modern tertiary care hospital with fully integrated medical and research facilities. ECNEC also directed the formation of a special committee to oversee financing arrangements and ensure the scheme’s timely implementation.

The meeting was attended by the ministers for planning and finance, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, provincial ministers, and federal secretaries from the Cabinet, Planning, Finance, Health and Economic Affairs Division.
