The chickens were intended for supply to various food points and markets, posing a severe health risk to consumers.
The PFA officials immediately confiscated and destroyed the dead chickens on the spot, following strict protocol.
The three arrested suspects are key players in a larger network involved in the illegal distribution of dead poultry.
A formal case has been registered against them under relevant food safety and public health laws.
The PFA Director General has vowed to trace the entire supply chain and hold all those involved accountable, sending a strong message that compromising on food safety will not be tolerated.
This operation demonstrates the PFA’s commitment to ensuring food safety and protecting public health in Punjab.
