The transgenders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province will have the facility to get separate rooms in in District headquarters hospitals.

The announcement follows a pivotal meeting held between Governor Haji Ghulam Ali and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, alongside Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali, where discussions centered on the challenges faced by the transgender community within the province.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, recognizing the pressing need for tailored healthcare solutions, directed the Health Department to allocate separate rooms within District Headquarters Hospitals specifically designed to cater to the needs of transgenders.

This directive aims to ensure that members of the transgender community receive adequate treatment facilities and support in healthcare settings.

Moreover, as a testament to KP’s commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of transgender individuals, Chief Minister Gandapur pledged to provide land for the establishment of a dedicated graveyard for the transgender community, recognizing the importance of providing dignified burial services.

This progressive initiative underscores KP’s unwavering dedication to creating an inclusive society where every individual, regardless of gender identity, is afforded equal rights and access to essential services.

By prioritizing the welfare and rights of marginalized communities, KP sets a powerful example for the rest of Pakistan, sending a clear message of acceptance, respect, and equality.

As KP continues on its path towards progress and social justice, initiatives like these serve as catalysts for positive change, paving the way for a more compassionate and inclusive future for all.
