Hungary is facing significant labor shortages in 36 occupations, including cleaning, construction, engineering, manufacturing, agriculture, and personal care services.
The country reported 79,000 job vacancies in 2023, with the manufacturing industry having the highest number of vacancies.
Despite this, Hungary has tightened immigration rules for third-country nationals, making it more challenging for foreign workers to obtain work visas.
