American Journalist Ties Knot with Pakistani Polo Player
In a heartwarming example of cultural exchange and love, American freelance journalist Clair Stephen has married Anwar Ali, a Pakistani polo player and poet from Upper Chitral.
The couple tied the knot in Islamabad and later celebrated their wedding festivities in Chitral, surrounded by Anwar’s friends and relatives.
Clair met Anwar during her visit to Pakistan eight months ago, when she stayed in the Buni area of Upper Chitral.

Despite returning to her home, the two maintained communication, and their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship.
Clair expressed her admiration for Anwar’s character, citing it as the reason for her decision to marry him. The dowry was set at Rs30,000, according to reports.
