Court extends remand of Ducky Bhai in gambling case
A local court on Wednesday extended by four days the physical remand of YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, in a case related to online gambling.
The social media influencer was arrested last week for allegedly promoting gambling applications and uploading obscene material. He was produced before the court by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) after his initial two-day remand expired.
The investigating officer, Shoaib Riaz, sought a 28-day extension, arguing that the suspect was connected to an international gambling syndicate. After hearing arguments, the court instead extended his custody until Aug 23 and directed authorities to present him again at the end of the period.
Ducky Bhai was detained on Aug 17 at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. Investigators allege he promoted several unregistered gambling apps through his YouTube and social media accounts, indirectly causing financial losses to users.

Officials claimed that WhatsApp chats and payment records recovered from his mobile phone show links with app operators. He was further accused of serving as a country manager for one such platform without authorisation from the State Bank or the Federal Board of Revenue.
The case comes in the wake of the Federal Investigation Agency’s July crackdown on a major online fraud involving local and foreign companies, which reportedly looted billions of rupees by luring thousands of people with fake jobs and businesses.
