Government to Continue Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Project
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led federal government has decided to continue the Ten Billion Tree Tsunami project, a flagship initiative of the previous Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
The government has allocated a substantial budget of Rs 15.62 billion for the Green Pakistan initiative, formerly known as the Ten Billion Tree Tsunami project, to combat climate change and promote sustainable development.

The Ministry of Climate Change has been granted a significant budget increase of Rs 11.82 billion for the fiscal year 2024-25, with a focus on enhancing technical capacity and effective implementation of climate change projects.
