Karachi Traffic Plan Released for Iranian President Visit

Several roads will be closed or rerouted to ensure security measures.

Karachi traffic police have announced a traffic plan for tomorrow, April 23, ahead of the visit of Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi to the city.

Several roads will be closed or rerouted to ensure security measures.

Commuters of Karachi are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow traffic police instructions to avoid any inconvenience during Iranian President visit.

Road Closures:

  • Club Road: Fully closed from PIDC to Metropole
  • Ziauddin Road: Closed from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC and from the light signal to PIDC Chowk

Rerouted Traffic:

  • Sultanabad Road: Traffic will be rerouted towards Khajoor Chowk, Aiwan-e-Sadr Road
  • Shaheen Complex: Vehicles will be directed to turn left from Khajoor Chowk onto Aiwan-e-Sadr Road

Iranian President’s Visit:

President Raisi is scheduled to meet with top officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.

He will also visit Lahore and Karachi to engage with provincial leaders.

Security Arrangements:

The provincial government has made strict security arrangements and declared a public holiday in Karachi tomorrow.
