LESCO Upgrades to Automatic Meter Reading System

The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced phasing out three-phase meters for all consumers and introducing Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) meters.

This move aims to improve billing accuracy, reduce overbilling issues, and curb electricity theft.

However, consumers will need to bear an additional cost of Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 for the new meters.
