Furthermore, the report reveals that X’s non-compliance with Pakistani laws, particularly in response to requests from the Federal Investigation Agency’s cyber crimes wing, led to its blockage.

Despite requests to block accounts involved in spreading misleading propaganda against the Chief Justice of Pakistan, X remained unresponsive.

The recent development aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to regulate social media platforms, emphasizing agreements to uphold Pakistani laws.

The ban on X is framed within security considerations and is deemed necessary to maintain order and stability without infringing upon constitutional rights.

Responding to queries from the court, the Interior Ministry clarifies that the request to block X does not encroach upon fundamental rights and can be dismissed at the initial stages of review.
