20,000 Bikes for Punjab Students on Cards
Students in Punjab will have the facility to avail 20,000 bikes under the Chief Minister Youth Initiative.
It was announced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz after launching a project of bikes to students across the province in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Through this initiative, male students have the option to pay Rs 11,676 per month, while female students can avail the offer at Rs 7,325 per month, enabling them to acquire motorcycles and e-bikes through easy monthly installment plans.
The project will be rolled out in phases, starting in key cities such as Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, and Lahore.
Notably, in Lahore, motorcycles will be distributed based on the population density of each district, ensuring equitable access for students across the region.
To be eligible for the scheme, candidates must be enrolled as graduate college students in public or private universities, be at least 18 years old, and possess a valid driving license or learner’s permit for motorcycles under the installment plan.
The deadline for submitting applications to avail of the bikes is April 29, 2024, and interested students can apply through the Punjab government’s official website.
Under the initiative directed by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, students will receive 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 electric bikes.
