Army Warns India of ‘Swift and Decisive Response’ to Any Aggression
RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army on Wednesday voiced strong concern over what it termed “irresponsible and provocative statements” from India’s political and military leadership, warning that any aggression from New Delhi would face a “swift and decisive response.”
The statement came after Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir chaired the 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forum observed that the recent rhetoric from India reflected its “propensity for whipping up war hysteria for political gains,” stressing that such actions only fuel regional instability and undermine peace.
Reaffirming the army’s operational readiness, the commanders vowed to “shatter any perceived notion of India’s relative safety accruing from geography,” asserting that any “imaginary new normal will be met with a new normal of swift retributive response.”
The meeting also resolved to continue dismantling networks of what it described as “Indian-sponsored terror proxies,” including Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan. The session began with Fateha for the martyrs of recent terror attacks allegedly “orchestrated by Indian terror networks.”
The army chief commended the armed forces for their determination and professionalism in combating “foreign-sponsored terrorism” and in supporting civil authorities during flood relief and rescue operations.
The conference reviewed the ongoing counterterrorism operations, the emerging threat environment, and the state of operational preparedness, reaffirming the army’s resolve to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty against all forms of aggression.

It also highlighted the “nexus between terror and crime under political patronage,” vowing that such elements “harming the state’s interests and public safety” would not be allowed to persist.
Welcoming Pakistan’s recent high-level diplomatic engagements, the forum lauded the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia, calling it a milestone in strengthening bilateral defence ties and ensuring a coordinated response to external threats.
The commanders reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination under UN resolutions and expressed solidarity with Palestinians, urging an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and increased humanitarian aid.
The army reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled position on the two-state solution, envisioning a sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
In his closing remarks, COAS Asim Munir directed all commanders to maintain peak levels of discipline, physical fitness, and readiness, expressing full confidence in the army’s ability to respond effectively across conventional, hybrid, and asymmetric domains.
