CDA Chairman Randhawa reviews E-Stamp system in Islamabad

Digital stamp papers expected to ease transactions and promote transparency

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Monday visited the E-Stamp Center in F-8 Markaz to review the implementation of E-Stamp Papers in the Federal Capital. CDA Member Admin Talat Mahmood, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, and other officials were also present.

During the visit, officials briefed the Chief Commissioner and CDA Chairman on the successful launch of the E-Stamp system, which replaces traditional stamp papers and aligns with modern digital requirements. The system is fully integrated with OneLink for digital payments and has been developed in collaboration with the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA).

Muhammad Ali Randhawa expressed satisfaction over the progress and inquired about feedback from citizens using the E-Stamp Center. He directed that the process be further simplified in light of public suggestions to enhance user convenience.

“The initiative, in line with the Digital Islamabad vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, will facilitate a cashless economy and simplify transactions related to property transfers, inheritance, buying, and selling,” he said.

He added that the system will ensure transparency, reduce fraud, and promote an E-Governance model to improve service delivery in the capital.
