DG Immigration and Passports Launches Real-Time Digital Monitoring System
The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has launched a Digital Integrated Dashboard to monitor passport applications, printing and delivery in real time, aiming to ensure faster processing, improved efficiency and better services for applicants.
According to an official statement, a dedicated 24/7 monitoring room has been established at DGIP headquarters on the instructions of Director General Immigration and Passports Mustafa Jamal Kazi. The facility will oversee daily operations, including passport printing, delivery and the performance of passport offices.
DGIP said the new system enables monitoring at every stage, from passport application to final delivery, while also allowing automatic identification of overcrowding at passport offices. Staff performance, passport printing processes, backlogs and machinery status will be tracked through a modern network management system.

Director General Mustafa Jamal Kazi said the advanced monitoring mechanism would further enhance the department’s overall performance. He added that everything from the efficiency of officers and staff to the rush of citizens at passport offices would now be closely monitored.
He said a parallel system has also been introduced to ensure that issues identified through monitoring are resolved immediately.
DGIP said the digital dashboard would improve performance not only across Pakistan but also at Pakistani missions abroad, adding that real-time evaluation would help ensure smoother processing and improved services for passport applicants worldwide.
