E-Tag stickers made compulsory for all vehicles in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: The district administration has announced that vehicle E-Tag stickers will be issued across the federal capital from November 18 as part of broader measures to strengthen Islamabad’s security.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon said the E-Tag stickers will be available to citizens at various designated points across the city starting November 18. He added that residents will be informed in advance about all official issuance points.
According to the DC, citizens will only be able to obtain the E-Tags from locations approved by the district administration, and a vehicle’s registration card will be mandatory for issuance.
The administration has declared that E-Tags will be compulsory for every vehicle driving on Islamabad’s roads, including those registered in other provinces. Officials said the initiative aims to enhance monitoring capabilities and make Islamabad one of the safest cities in the country.
