Faiz Hameed Sentenced to 14 Years After Court Martial
RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations has announced that a Field General Court Martial has sentenced former Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment after finding him guilty on four separate charges.
According to the statement, proceedings under the Pakistan Army Act began on 12 August 2024 and continued for 15 months. The charges included engaging in political activities, violating the Official Secrets Act in a manner deemed harmful to state safety and interests, misuse of authority and government resources, and causing wrongful loss to individuals.

After extended legal proceedings, the court concluded that the accused was guilty on all counts. The sentence was formally promulgated on 11 December 2025. ISPR stated that the trial followed all legal requirements and the accused (Faiz Hameed) was granted complete legal rights, including representation by a defence team of his choosing. The convict retains the right to appeal at the appropriate forum.
ISPR added that his alleged role in stirring political agitation and instability in coordination with political elements, along with his involvement in other related matters, is being addressed separately.
