FBR Attaches Mall of Islamabad As Benami Property
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has attached a suspected Benami property, Plot No. 56-N, Mall of Islamabad, situated at main Jinnah Avenue, sector F-7, Islamabad.
Sources informed News Valley that a commercial plaza worth millions, has been provisionally attached under the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 2017.

According to sources, the FBR Anti-Benami Zone 1 Deputy Commissioner IR/Initiating Officer issued an order for the provisional attachment of the property after collecting material evidence and conducting an authorized inquiry and investigation.

A show cause notice was also issued to the benamidar, Vicky Trading Pvt Limited, under Section 22(1) of the Act.
The Approving Authority, Commissioner IR, Benami Zone-1, Islamabad, approved the provisional attachment of the property under Section 22(3) of the Act, effective immediately for a period of 90 days.
