The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced an extension of the deadline for filing Sales Tax and Federal Excise Returns for the tax period of March 2024.

The new deadline for FBR tax returns, set for April 22, 2024, provides taxpayers with additional time to fulfill their filing obligations.

Previously, the last date for filing the monthly sales tax return form was scheduled for April 18, 2024.

However, in light of the current circumstances, the FBR has decided to grant an extension to alleviate any potential challenges faced by taxpayers.

This extension aims to facilitate taxpayers in meeting their compliance requirements effectively.

The FBR emphasized that the extension applies specifically to the submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Return for the tax period of March 2024.

Taxpayers are encouraged to take advantage of this extended deadline to ensure timely and accurate filing.

This move by the FBR reflects a commitment to supporting taxpayers and streamlining the tax filing process.

It underscores the FBR’s dedication to facilitating compliance while also recognizing the need for flexibility in challenging times.

As the new deadline approaches, taxpayers are urged to promptly file their returns to avoid any potential penalties or complications.
