FIA Offloads Three Passengers Impersonating Govt Officials at Islamabad Airport
Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Unit carried out a major operation at Islamabad International Airport, offloading three passengers who attempted to travel abroad while impersonating government officials.
According to FIA spokesperson, the detained individuals — identified as Ejaz Hussain, Kamran Aslam, and Osama Hafeez — were travelling on an international flight to Uzbekistan on visit visas. During immigration checks, they presented themselves as officials of the Ministry of Commerce.
Initial investigation revealed that the suspects had used fake No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to facilitate their travel. FIA officials stated that the men attempted to deceive authorities by posing as government personnel to bypass immigration protocols.

Preliminary findings also indicate that the suspects were assisted by private individuals as well as certain employees of the Ministry of Commerce in securing the fraudulent documents and attempting to leave the country.
The arrested passengers have been handed over to the FIA Anti-Corruption Circle in Islamabad for further legal action. The spokesperson added that investigations are ongoing and more arrests are expected as the facilitation network is traced.
