Field Marshal Asim Munir Warns India of Severe Response
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir addressed officers of all three armed services at the newly established Defence Forces Headquarters, terming the structural transformation a “historic shift” designed to meet modern security imperatives.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said that with fast-evolving and increasingly complex threats, Pakistan must refine and reinforce multi-domain operations under a unified tri-services framework. He stated that the establishment of the Defence Forces Headquarters is “a necessary step” towards achieving deep integration, faster decision-making, and seamless operational coordination.
He clarified that each service will continue to maintain its individuality and independent operational preparedness, while the Defence Forces Headquarters will synchronise and harmonise operations across the Army, Navy, and Air Force. He added that alongside unified higher command, all three services will retain their internal autonomy and organizational structures.
Issuing a clear warning to India, Field Marshal stated that New Delhi “must not remain under any illusion or miscalculation,” adding that Pakistan’s response to any future aggression will be “even swifter and more severe.”

On regional security, he noted that the Taliban regime has been given an unambiguous message: they have no option but to choose between supporting the Khawarij terror network or maintaining relations with Pakistan.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace, Field Marshal said that Pakistan seeks stability in the region but will never allow its sovereignty, territorial integrity, or national resolve to be tested. He emphasized, “Pakistan’s idea is unconquerable, protected by the faith-driven courage of its soldiers and the firm resolve of a united nation.”
