Field Marshal, Indonesian President Discuss Defence Cooperation
RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, met the Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Islamabad on Tuesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to ISPR, the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, and ongoing bilateral defence cooperation. Both sides expressed their resolve to deepen the longstanding military partnership between Pakistan and Indonesia.

The Indonesian president appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged Pakistan’s significant contributions toward regional peace and stability.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed that Pakistan highly values its close relations with Indonesia and remains committed to expanding defence cooperation, particularly in training, counter-terrorism efforts, and capacity-building initiatives.
The meeting marked a continuation of strong defence engagement between the two countries, further reinforcing military-to-military collaboration.
